La Malagueta (Malaga)

Obviously we start with the one next to our own place, a favorite among many. It’s famous for it’s name spelled out in sand. It also comes with diverse options for water sports The big advantage of this beach that it’s so close to the city and close to the place where you can pick up your SUP!  Ideal for families who don’t want to travel too far and the beach contains several amenities like lifeguards, showers and toilets as well as playgrounds for the little ones.

Bajondillo Beach (Torremolinos)

A bit outside of Malaga lays the city: Torremolinos, a vibrant city with an old town centre. So even ignoring the beach it’s worth the trip. But do not ignore the beach because with it’s amazing chiringuitos and reasonable prices it’s ideal to have a relaxing summer day. This beach also has all the amenities you want for a day on the beach. Enjoy a typical Andalusian treat: Frito Andaluz while enjoying the sand.

Bil-Bil beach (Benalmádena)

Yes, this name might make our Dutch speaking readers laugh, but this beach is no joke! With its sand beach and amazing attraction: the castle of Bill-Bill there is enough to enjoy. This beach contains several restaurants as well as showers, toilets and lifeguards. To reach this beach fast from Malaga we advise to travel by train.

El Castillo Beach (Fuengirola)

one of the 5 beaches around malaga

To keep the architectural vibes we recommend this beach next to the castle of Sohail. With its proximity to the medieval city of Fuengirola, this beach is a five minute walk to the city centre. So the walk through this beautiful city centre to the beach is already worth it.  On top of that, the sea water in front of this beach is yearly crowned by the EU.

Pedregalejo Beach (Malaga)

Another hometown beach we love a lot at Flex Watersports, the traditional fishing area of Malaga. Enjoy this marvellous beach close to Flex-Watersports as well, with our SUP boards. There are hammocks and gardens underneath the palm trees. After you end up hungry by a day of healthy water sports activities enjoy the authentic restaurants around this area.
